The MATSim Tutorial is an excellent opportunity for everyone to get started with MATSim or expand one's knowledge: you will learn about the core principles of agent-based transport modeling, explore the software architecture of MATSim and engage in the modeling of transport demand and supply through practical examples. In addition, you will learn how to use state-of-the are visualization tools for interactive analysis of MATSim output.

The MATSim Tutorial will be held on July 22 and 23 in DAVIS, CA as a two day intensive course. Courseware, Requirements, Equipment
All presentation material and files of the practical examples will be made available in digital format to the participants in advance of the course.
Participants are ideally already familiar with core ideas of transport modeling and computer literate, but no prior experience in programming is required.
Please bring along your personal laptop (Windows or MacOS tend to work a bit more fluent in tutorials than Linux), and have Eclipse installed. Please also download the latest version (1.7.0) of VIA, the recommended visualizer for MATSim output data.
Registration and Fees
Please register until July 15th under the following link: Register. The participation fee is 400 $ for participants with an university affiliation and 1000 $ for other participants (please note that for internal administration reasons the actual amount is in CHF, the exchange rate between US$ and CHF is currently very close to 1, so the actual rate might be a few dollar different). The number of participants will be limited to 15 people at most.
