MATSim workshop @ ANT / ABMTRANS 2017, Madeira


There will be a two-hour introductory MATSim workshop in conjunction with the ANT conference and ABMTRANS workshop 2017.

The aim of the workshop is:

  • to understand the theoretical background of MATSim
  • get started with using MATSim
  • understanding the scope of MATSim extensions and start using them

The tutorial session will be held in Madeira, Portugal (16-19 May 2017) during the 8th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks, and Technologies (ANT 2017).

  • Theoretical background (choice sets, scoring, ...)
  • demand relaxation and configuration
  • Presentation of use cases

A practical introduction into using MATSim

This will include:

  • Running a simulation using the GUI
  • Modifying config parameters
  • Evaluating scenario output

Please bring your own laptop to the session. Java should be installed. No programming skills required.
